The University of Toledo Alumni Association brings the experts to you in five, recently livestreamed events that you can watch on demand on the Alumni Association website.

The events feature local business leaders, and UToledo and visiting professors who speak on an array of topics, including free speech on college campuses; the current state of economic development in Northwest Ohio; the bullying of LGBTQ youth and their risk for suicide; and the growth of the craft beer industry.

In “Climbing the Corporate Ladder,” three local business leaders, Jason Daniels (A/S ’99), Tony Lombardi and Alexis (DuBrul) Smith (A/S ’93, ’95)  share their stories of success and how they reached it.

The sixth video available delivers to you the Alumni Association’s Annual Meeting at the William and Carol Koester Alumni Pavilion. If you could not make it to the event, you can watch the video and learn how your fellow alumni celebrated six scholarship recipients, who attended the meeting to represent 35 students who received scholarships. In total, the Alumni community supported students with $66,000 in scholarship dollars. The event also features the Volunteer of the Year, the Alumni Affiliate of the Year and the Alumni Chapter of the Year.

The video library also brings you the 2018 Homecoming Gala, at which three distinguished alumni received the Gold T Award (the Hon. Betty Montgomery), the Blue T Award (Dr. Thomas Wakefield) and the Edward H. Schmidt Outstanding Young Alumni Award (Dr. Mallory Ladd). Each degree-granting college also honored outstanding alumni, and personal stories of each recipient are featured in the Homecoming Gala video.

This library of livestreamed alumni events lets you watch and listen to experts — at any time and on any day — speaking on topics that are relevant now.

If you are interested in attending the live events, watch your inbox for the next livestreamed events, which are hosted locally. New events will be livestreamed during the 2019-2020 academic year.
